Mercado Moveis Choses Mertech's Flex2SQL to Migrate to Oracle

Mercado Moveis, one of southern Brazil’s largest consumer electronics and home appliance retailers, recently announced that it will use Mertech’s Flex2SQL™ for Oracle middle-ware solution to adopt Oracle as its corporate database running with DataFlex applications on Linux. Mercado Moveis' decision to adopt Oracle comes after spend nearly a year of struggling with scalability issues with DB2.

“Mercado Moveis is very pleased with the adoption of Mertech’s Flex2SQL product,” said Jose Antonio Bassi, Managing Director of Mertech Data Systems, Brasil. “Mercado Moveis has been expanding rapidly and were running into scalability issues with their DataFlex database. With Mertech’s Flex2SQL for Oracle, Mercado Moveis currently is running in production with 2000 concurrent users and are expected to scale higher in coming months”.
