Pembroke Pines, FL

Mertech Data Systems, Inc. , the leading provider of ISAM to SQL database connectivity drivers for DataFlex and Btrieve  announced today that it has signed an OEM distribution agreement with HCSS Construction Software and Services, a leader in software and services for the construction industry.

HCSS specializes in construction estimating and field management software for heavy/highway, infrastructure, and utility contractors. Since 1986, HCSS has been providing award-winning software for thousands of construction companies in the US. HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob and The Dispatcher recently won the coveted “Roads and Bridges Contractor’s Choice Awards” for 2009. This is the fourth straight year that HCSS has received this award.

HCSS first started using Mertech’s Flex2SQL for MS SQL Server product in 2006 with The Dispatcher, an operations management tool that allows construction companies to schedule, map and locate equipment, as well as calculate utilization rates to increase equipment use efficiencies. Under the new OEM agreement, HCSS will bundle Mertech’s SQL Server middle-ware across its entire product line.

“We are pleased to expand our relationship with Mertech,” said Steve McGough COO of HCSS. “We have been using Mertech’s product since 2006 and have been very satisfied with the quality of their products and support. Mertech’s products provide the performance and features needed to successfully deploy our software.”

“Mertech is very pleased to expand our relationship with HCSS,” said Riaz Merchant, CEO of Mertech Data Systems. “HCSS applications are among the most complex applications developed in DataFlex. This OEM agreement strengthens our partnership with HCSS and underscores the confidence HCSS places on Mertech’s ability to deliver a solid product”.
